The Full Story:

I started my first business thinking it would give me freedom.

More control. More money. More time with my family.

Instead, it took everything.

I was working 80-hour weeks. Phone going off at all hours. Stressed out of my mind. Revenue was climbing, but I was drowning.

At the end of the year, despite doing $5M in revenue, I made a loss.

Not a small one. A catastrophic one.

Debt I couldn't pay. Sleepless nights. Marriage collapsing because I was never home and always stressed.

I had to sell the family home. The house my kids grew up in.

My marriage fell apart. My relationship with my kids was strained. And the business I thought I was building "for them" destroyed everything that actually mattered.

Here's What I Didn't Understand:

I was great at my trade. Absolute shit at running a business.

I thought scaling meant more revenue. More jobs. More growth.

So I chased it. Hard.

And the business cracked.

Because I was scaling without foundations.

I was:

Quoting off gut feel instead of numbers
Running off activity instead of data
Letting growth increase pressure instead of freedom
Accepting chaos as the cost of success
Never separating being the operator from being the owner

The business looked successful from the outside.

Inside? It was drowning me.

When it collapsed, I lost everything.
